A rather belated New Year's update!
I've been away for ages and am starting to get notes asking if I'm still here and still working, so I thought I'd better fill in the gaps a bit! I've been working right through, but late last autumn my cousin started to decline rapidly and died of breast cancer in late October. My father, who has been doing amazing well on chemo having being diagnosed with stage IV bowel cancer some 3 1/2 years ago, was also pretty unwell through winter and right over Christmas. On top of all this, my lovely Mother in law (Mumsy) was also diagnosed and is currently undergoing chemo, thankfully, the prognosis for her is very good

I have had difficulty though, coming to terms with my younger cousin's death and the very uncertain future for my dad,: For bowel cancer, diagnosed at such a late stage, the odds of making it this far are tiny. But, he is still responding to the chemo, and when he is well (usually in between chemo cycles) he's able to enjoy life and we're able to enjoy him, so we must just take each day as it comes and make the most of it. A friend recently compared the chemotherapy treatment to the game 'Whack-A-Mole' and it really is...at least we're still winning!
A REALLY belated, but heartfelt thank you to everyone who sponsored me in the Race for Life in aid of Cancer research last year (I can't believe I've been away that long!!) It was a really wonderful day, my Dad was there along with the whole family! and my sister and I managed to raise over £500 between us

I've finally been bought to a temporary halt by my my pesky sinuses though. After putting up with infection after infection for years, I'm currently waiting on an operation...anywhere from tomorrow and the next two months so I'm told! So I'm at home, and reeeally bored! I've been taking the occasional booking, but at the moment my sinuses are infected AGAIN so I'm irritable and feverish and I have no idea when the hospital will call me in or how long I will need to recover afterwards! BUT, it will happen and when it does I should feel better than I have in a long time and then, hopefully, warmer weather and the opportunity to get out and start shooting again...Yay!!
In the meanwhile, I'm finally going to get round to uploading some pictures and planning some studio work for when I feel a bit better!
